Bhutan has a great variety of forests ranges from sub-tropical to alpine forests. The forest areas of the region are vitally important for many of its birds. Some of the bird’s species you find in Bhutan are critically and globally threatened species. Primary sub-tropical to alpine forests supports the greatest diversity of bird species. Globally, Bhutan is considered as very significant areas of the habitat for the many endanger bird’s species in the eastern Himalaya. The country being very rich in biodiversity, it is a paradise for ornithologists and bird lovers. The more than 770 species of birds have been recorded in Bhutan.
