- Getting to Bhutan by air
Royal Bhutan airline [druk air] and Bhutan airline [tashi air] both provide international flight. Both airlines fly in and out from Paro international air port:
- Bangkok (BKK- Thailand)
- Delhi (DEL-India)
- Mumbai (BOM-India)
- Kolkata (CCU-India)
- Bagdogra (IXB-India)
- Gaya (GAY-India)
- Guwahati (GAU-India)
- Kathmandu (KTM-India)
- Dhaka (DAC-Bangladesh)
- Changi (SIN-Singapore)
Domestic air within Bhutan
Both tashi air and druk air offer domestic air services. The flight takes place from Paro international to:
- Bathpalathang (Bumthang, central)
- Yonphula (Trashigang, east)
- Gelephu (Sarbhang, south)
Getting to Bhutan by land
You can enter or exit Bhutan through its southern gateway of Phuentsholing to India state of West Bengal. It takes approximately four to five hours from thimphu . The nearest air is at Bagdora, India , located roughly four hours by road from Phuentsholing, Bhutan.
Another entry and exit is from Sumdrup Jongkhar in south east Bhutan to India. The closest air port is Guwahati, India.
Accommodations
The accommodations available for our clients ranging from 3 stars hotel to luxurious 5 star hotel and also provide cozy home stays in traditional Bhutanese farm house.
For the trekking we provide tents and other necessasities or other camping equipments, with trekking crews.
Hotel and resorts
Hotels are located all over the Bhutan and are range from simple, clean and cozy local hotels to luxurious hotels.
Hotels in Bhutan are rated and regulated by tourism council of Bhutan along with a national 5 star rating system.
We provide our clients with minimum of 3 star hotels. In the hotels you will be provided with basic necessasities like television, room services, wifi and so on.
Note: if you require 4& 5 star hotels we arrange with supplementary charges.
Home stay
Home stay we keep it as optional. We offer this accommodation only if clients want to experience the Bhutanese way of life. Your stay in this accommodation will take you to experience real social life or daily life of a typical Bhutanese family.
Tariff
All the tours must be booked through a license Bhutanese Tour Operators. All the tour operators in Bhutan provide standard package in which a fixed daily tariff is set by the Royal Government of Bhutan / Tourism Council of Bhutan.
Minimum Package Tour Rate: (standard package)
- US $ 250 per person per night ( Mar, Apr, May, Sept, Oct, Nov – peak season)
- US $ 200 per person per night ( Jan, Feb, Jun, Jul, Aug, Dec – lean season)
- US $ 40 Visa fee per person (one time visit)
Govt. FIT Surcharge: In addition to the standard package rate mention above
Single individual:
US $ 40 per night per person (both peak & lean season)
Groups of two persons:
US $ 30 per night per person (both peak & lean season)
Group of three persons and more:
FIT surcharge is waived (both peak & lean season)
The above standard package covers the following costs:
- Govt. approved standard hotels( 2- 3 star)
- All the meals at the Govt. approved standard hotels and restaurants.
- Standard transportations
- A licensed English speaking guide
- Sightseeing, all permits, entranced fees to museums and monuments.
- 65% royalty to the govt. & all taxes
- Trekking ( all the basic equipments and crews)
Others services, activities and higher category of hotels will require a supplementary charges.
Not included in above standard packages:
- Air fare
- Bar bills
- Laundry
- Travel / medical insurance
Note: all meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be serve in buffet.

Extra activities
Other experiences are cultural shows, hot stone bath, farm house lunch, traditional wedding, blessing ceremonies, astrology reading, traditional dish (chilli cheese) cooking, trekking camping, river rafting , kayaking, and so on.
Visas
Visas are required for traveling to Bhutan. Visas are processed through the local travel agencies. In Bhutan unlike in other countries no foreign mission or embassy abroad grants tourists visas for Bhutan. You should route through local travel agency. The local tour operators will apply for your Bhutan visa after the full tour payment is received and will require followings:
- Scanned passport copy and your photo must be clear; send via email.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months after your planned date of departure from Bhutan.
Once the visa has been approved we will send you copy of visa via email, which you have to carry the copy of visa while traveling to Bhutan. The actual visa endorsement is stamped on your passport when you arrive at air port.
Payment
As per the policy of tourism council of Bhutan the full payment has to make in advance in US $ dollars, and should be deposited directly in our account with tourism council of Bhutan. TCB will not allowed to withdraw payment till your trips has been concluded successfully, which assure you of our honesty, integrity and services while you are here in Bhutan.
Once the full payment transfer is completed please send scanned copy of bank deposit receipt via email to confirm with the bank in Bhutan to process the visa.
Tour cancellation policy
Cancellation charges after the full payment and booked packages are as follows:
- Within 45 days – no charges
- Within 30 days – 10% of rate
- Within 21 days – 15 % of rate
- Within 14 days – 30 % of rate
- Less than 14 days – 50%
- After arrival in Bhutan – 100%
If you cancelled or shortened the trips due to unforeseen consequences after arrival in Bhutan, no refund will be made due to the company already made the full payment for all the logistics.
Once the tickets have been issued, for every date changes the additional fees of US $ 25 is levied. For every cancelled ticket US $ 30 is levied as an administration fees.
